Square credit card readers for iPhones, Android Devices, and Blackberry smartphones have become a popular new way to accept money from individuals. Vendors at flea markets, street fairs, and craft shows have been using these devices to collect quick cash, but now political campaigns have gotten into the act and are collecting donations with square credit card readers and iPhones. There is a certain amount of criticism regarding customer service and the amount of money that goes into an account (over the first $1000, a hold up to 30 days can take place) and people may still want to check some ID when making a sale for items that could be converted to cash or bought with stolen credit cards.
